For today, we have three, interrelated medical neologisms…

  • WEB-MD-OSIS: Based on the patient’s research on WebMD, they are convinced they have either Ebola, cancer or some other deadly disease.
  • HYPER-GOOGLE-CHONDRIA: Based on the patient’s research on the Google search engine, they are convinced they have either Ebola, cancer or some other deadly disease.
  • BING-ALGIA: Based on the patient’s research on the Bing search engine, they are convinced they have either bowling pins, deadbolts, or some other deadly potato.
